Boko Haram ‘Kidnap 50 Women’ In Adamawa

According to reports, Boko Haram insurgents have abducted 50 women and an unknown number of children from the Michika and Gulak communities in Adamawa State.

Residents of the area have confirmed that some of their number have been taken away by the terrorists, ThisDay reports.

A member of the Husra village in Michika, Adamawa State, identified as Mallam Musa Yaro-Uba Musa, reportedly said that “hundreds of people including women and children” had been taken into the custody of Boko Haram.
A security source is said to have confirmed the incident saying that members of the sect selected some women from Gulak and took them away.
The abduction was also supposedly confirmed by a local politician, Mr. Maina Ularamu, who reportedly said:

“The information I have is that they selected some women and locked them in the local government secretariat.”

Reports of Boko Haram abductions have become rampant with the most prominent credited to the sect being the Chibok Girls’ Abduction of April 14, when over 200 schoolgirls were kidnapped from Borno state.
