2Face Idibia, Wizkid, AKA, Black Motion and Toofan have been named as performers at the upcoming MTV Africa Music Awards (MAMAs) KwaZulu-Natal 2015. The African stars will be performing alongside other idols from the continent namely: Davido, Bucie, Diamond Platnumz, Yemi Alade, and Cassper Nyovest. The exciting performances are not limited to home-grown acts, Jhene Aiko, Ne-Yo and Young Thug will be flying down to South Africa to take the stage at the event.
Some
of the chosen performers are up for awards. Wizkid and South African
rapper AKA are both battling for the Best Male award. 2Face goes head
to head with other influencers in the music industry for the Evolution
award this year.
Black
Motion is nominated for Best Group, while Toofan has been nominated in
four categories, Best Live, Song of the Year, Best Collaboration and
Best Francophone.
The 2015 MAMAs is going down in South Africa on 18 July, 2015.
