A woman in America has attracted outrage after she fed her daughter a pill filled with tapeworm eggs.
The young girl got sick and was taken to a hospital where it was suspected that she was carrying a baby.
However when she got to the hospital, it was discovered that her belly was full of worms.
The girl was reportedly supposed to participate in a beauty pageant and her mother was trying to get her in shape. Tapeworms eat food from inside the stomach.
The mother apologized to her daughter but it is not clear if she faced any sanctions for the action.
